The early childhood education curriculum at Charis Academy integrates Christian values, teachings, and principles into the daily curriculum and activities. In addition to the standard early childhood education curriculum, such as play-based learning, arts and crafts, and basic academic concepts, the early childhood curriculum at Charis Academy incorporates the Grace and Faith Discipleship Program into each lesson. This may include Bible stories, prayer, worship songs, and character education based on Christian virtues. Thus, the early childhood curriculum at Charis Academy not only prepares children academically but also spiritually, nurturing their relationship with God and fostering values such as love, obedience, honesty, kindness, and compassion rooted in Christian faith.
Toddler
In our nurturing Christian environment, toddlers (ages 1-2) embark on a playful learning journey. Through music, storytelling, and creative exploration, they develop social skills, emotional awareness, and a love for discovery. Bible stories and values are gently introduced, fostering a foundation of faith alongside early learning skills like colors, shapes, and basic sounds. Our caring teachers provide a safe and stimulating space where each toddler can blossom.
Preschool
Charis Academy Preschool is an early childhood education program that integrates Christian values, teachings, and principles into its curriculum and daily activities. In addition to the typical preschool curriculum, such as play-based learning, social and emotional learning, creative expression, and physical development (both gross motor skills and fine motor skills), as well as character building. The goal of Charis Academy preschool is not only to prepare children academically but also spiritually, nurturing their relationship with God and fostering values such as love, kindness, and compassion rooted in Christian faith.
Kindergarten
In our Christ-centered kindergarten (ages 4-6), we prepare your child for academic success while nurturing their faith. Through interactive lessons, hands-on projects, and play-based learning, students develop strong foundational skills in reading, writing, math, and critical thinking. Our curriculum integrates Bible stories and Christian values, creating a well-rounded learning experience. The Kindergarten Program curriculum includes 8 core academic areas: Mathematics, Science, Phonics and Reading, Social Studies and History, Bible Chronology, Recitation and Speech, Music and Movement, and Handwriting and Art.
- Holistic Education: Faith becomes integrated into all aspects of a child’s life, not just a separate subject.
- Spiritual Growth: Students are encouraged to develop a personal relationship with God.
- Strong Values Foundation: Christian values are emphasized, shaping students’ character and worldview.
- Lifelong Learning: Students learn to see God’s work in the world and approach life with a faith-based perspective.

KINDERGARTEN
The foundation for strong academics begins in kindergarten where children develop a love and joy for learning. Kindergarten is the first step in preparing our students for their K-12 journey into a classical Christian education.
For many it is the first opportunity the child has had in a formalized learning environment. Our goals in kindergarten are to:
Develop a love for God’s Word and knowledge of its overall content and purpose.
Develop a love for reading through instruction in skills and exposure to good literature.
Develop a knowledge and confidence in math skills and understand their God-given purpose.
Develop an expanding knowledge of themselves, as made in the image of God, their families, and their communities.
Develop an interest in discovering more of the world God has made.
Develop a teachable attitude through instruction in self-control, appropriate speech and kindness, and respect toward other.
